A Cow which doesn’t even have a name but it just having a ear tag number “4307” produces about 100 liters of Milk per day . the cow has been maintained in Al Ain Dairy which is one of the largest dairy farms in the Middle East, has about 6,000 high yielding cows.
According to Al Ain Dairy officials, it is the most productive cow in the company, which can give about 100 liters of milk per day, The cow is being milched three times a day. This cow, number 4307 is being called as “Super Cow” informally. The nine-year-old has already produced more than one million litres of milk so far — 1,040,000 to be precise,” “This super cow could be the most productive cow in the Minnddle East. It was born at Al Ain Dairy. We are proud of her. She is exceptional. We have about 6,000 cows in our farm,” The cow was initially producing milk like any other cow, but after a few years it started increasing the production. It is a black and white Holstein from Netherlands, says Kingston Fernandez, marketing Manager, Al Ain Dairy.
We consider 20 years is extremely old age for a Cow but a cow named “Big Bertha” lived 49 years old which holds two Guinness World Records, one is for being the oldest cow ever lived in the world and another record for lifetime breeding, having produced 39 calves.
Apart from this this cow also managed to help raise $75,000 for cancer by making celebrity appearances at cattle shows. Big Bertha was born in Ireland on 17 March 1945 on St Patrick’s Day. It is a Droimeann breed of Cattle (a native Irish cattle breed), The cow was bought at a cattle show by Jerome O’Leary and he reared her at his farm near the market town of Kenmare in County Kerry, southwest Ireland.The cow lived for 49 years and died on December 31st of 1992.
NOTIFICATION FOR AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE (Preliminary) EXAMINATION– 2015 in combination with NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST (NET) – 2015
1. The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) shall hold a combined ARS- 2015 (Preliminary) and NET-2015 Examination during 04.12.2015 to 10.12.2015 in Online mode at 23 Centres across India in a staggered slot-wise examination format as per the Rules and Scheme of Examination indicated in this notification.
The ARS-2015 (Main) Examination will be conducted on 21.02.2016. Candidates are advised to read the notification carefully before filling the Online Application Form. The ARS (Preliminary) Examination is a qualifying examination and its marks will not be carried forward for determining final merit of the candidates.
AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SCIENTIST – 2015
All those candidates desirous of appearing for ARS Examination are required to take both the Preliminary and Main Examination and viva-voce. Since a pass in the Preliminary Examination is compulsory for all candidates, only those candidates who qualify the ARS-2015 (Preliminary) Examination as per standards given in Appendix-VI will be eligible to appear in the ARS-2015 (Main) Examination. Candidates declared successful in ARS- 2015 (Main) Examination and viva-voce will be recommended for appointment as Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in the Pay Band-III of Rs.15,600-39,100 plus Research Grade Pay of Rs. 6,000/-.
NATONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST 2015
National Eligibility Test (NET) is a qualifying examination for determining eligibility for the position of Lecturer/Assistant Professor in the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) and other Agricultural Universities (AUs). Candidates clearing the National Eligibility Test will be eligible to apply for the post of Lecturers or Assistant Professors in the SAUs/AUs. NET certificates will be issued by the ASRB to the qualified candidates to enable them to apply against vacancies to be notified or advertised by the State Agricultural Universities/Agricultural Universities. SAUs/AUs will satisfy themselves with regard to fulfilment of prescribed eligibility condition/criterion for requisite posts of Lecturers/Assistant Professors including authenticity of the NET Certificate in the possession of the candidates.
PRESCRIBED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS For ARS-2015 :
A candidate must hold a Master’s Degree or equivalent in the concerned discipline with specialization as defined in Appendix-V, completed on or before 21.02.2016. For details, please refer to Rule 3 of Rules of the Examination given in Appendix-IV.
The candidates having Master’s degree from a foreign University must attach a certificate of equivalence and recognition of that degree issued by the University Grants Commission/ Government of India / any other concerned Government of India / Department or Agency.
